Unsure: It really depends on why your bleeding was so long. That is certainly abnormal. It depends on whether you normally have regular periods and whether this is unusual for you. There are so many factors. But the chances may be lower than average this month.

Anovulation?: If you have a period every 2 months, you may not be ovulating.  Menstrual cycles are usually not &gt; 35 days apart in ovulating women.  Best wishes!

Not a period: If you ovulated the day you started bleeding, this bleeding is not a period. It could be bleeding due to the hormonal changes at ovulation but it is not a period. You should start a period 14 days after ovulation or 8/18. This would be normal. Hope this helps.

See a Doctor: Some women may have abnormal cycles, which can be corrected with some birth control pills used for a while. Discuss with your doctor or gyn. You can easily do a pregnancy test as well.

Irregular periods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections ;  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

No: But some women will have a small amount of bleeding at ovulation. If the blood is gone quickly and either does not recur or only occurs at ovulation, you need not worry.

Get checked: A myomectomy should not change how one ovulates. The one day menstruation may mean there is potential scarring in the uterine cavity if a submucosal fibroid was removed.

hi, i've been using the pill for the last three months to try and alleviate painful ovulation cramps and i was intending to skip my period for this month but i've already taken the first two inactive pills, can i still do so?

Skipping period ?'s: To "skip a period" while on bcp's, taking the placebo's for "two days" may allow degeneration of uterine lining , causing some bleeding. If one wishes to have no bleeding while on bcp's, simply start another pack of pills, and continue taking "active" pills after the first 21 active pills end, without a "break".

Likely: Not a guarantee but likely you ovulated this month. You will see what happens but i would predict your cycles will be regular and that means you are ovulating.
