Could be: It could be peyronie's disease.  You should see a local doctor and have testing done.  One of the first things to rule out is an infection which your doctor should be able to do.

You mean a lump?: Most likely benign. Need more information, such as- has it developed suddenly or over a long time? Is there any pain? Does it affect your urinary sream/ have you had a UTI or std?. Could be a sebaceous or epidermal inclusion cyst, urethral diverticulum, urethral stricture, urethral condyloma etc. Hence need to see a urologist to diagose & treat if necessary.

Penis red knot: Penis bumps can be many things. Some STDs, some not. Only general advice can be given without a photo or physical exam. Top 2 photos are non-STDs: Fordyce spots (sebum which can be extricated by M.D. or left alone), Infected hair follicle (plucked and kept clean). Bottom 2 photos are STDs (HPV and Molluscum) to be evaluated by your MD so s/he can rule out other STDs and council you for prevention.

R/O LYME DZ: The DC METRO area has a very high incidence of LYME DISEASE. You need to be EXAMINED AND HAVE LABS CHECKED. Empiric therapy with 3 weeks of DOXYCYCLINE is usually initiated. And Lyme TITERS rechecked in a 3-4mth window.

Lymph node?: Could be a lymph node, which when enlarged, can indicate presence of an infection. If sexually active, suggest seeing your dr / urgent care / 'std clinic' for evaluation. If not, and otherwise feeling fine, can give it a few days--don't check too often, irritation can keep lymph node enlarged.

Confusing : If you have been masturbating successfully then there is no reason to think something is wrong with your penis. The virgin knot usually refers to a woman's hymen so I am not sure exactly what you were asking there?

Ask urologist or ...: Leaving a thread attached to stent for self pulling-out is common; yet the length of thread is arbitrarily decided by urologist and occasionally it may be too short so restricting the "room" leading to discomfort for erection. If so, you may release the taping of the thread and let it go inside urethra for comfort. After erection and peeing, you will most likely see the thread reappear of pulling.
