i've had a numb feeling in my left arm today and now numbness in my arm and my left leg is much colder than rest of body. advice?

Could be a nerve: You haven't mentioned any weakness or chest pain or not being able to move those extremities so I will assume those symptoms aren't present. In which case it could be that you have some inflammation or irritation of your peripheral nerves or possible swelling (edema) which is causing your symptoms. If your symptoms persist it would be good to discuss it with a doctor.

Blood clot: A swollen leg with color or temperature change usually indicats a vascular problem.

Interesting: Trauma to a joint can make the whole leg cold.  You are a bit young to have a circulation problem.  If you have had trauma, or if the skin or nails change color, seek help and examination.

Sprain: Unfortunately this is a somewhat vague description but you may have pulled/sprained a muscle/ligament when you  stood up.  It would be reasonable to give it time and try and NSAID, and if symptoms persist or worsen after a few days then see a physician.

Find a vein specialist in your area to get a venous doppler duplex exam and go to your family practice doctor and have him check your pulses in your leg.
