See your doc!: Sounds like you may be drinking a bit too much. But it may also be an allergic reaction, or some problem with your kidneys. Alcohol can give you a great high, but the downward plunge afterwards can be devastating! you can experiment by avoiding alcohol for a couple of weeks and see if the symptoms fade. If not, please check with a medical doctor.

end stage kidney disease(pkd). recurrent infections since apr, 12. been on levoflox 500 since then.noticed redness of skin in the leg.is the drug safe?

Safe for what?: Levofloxacin is safe enough to have been approved by fda but all drugs have (potential) side effects. It carries 2 black box warnings: one re tendinitis & tendon rupture; other re myasthenia gravis. You didn't mention how often you're taking this antibiotic (or for what reason) nor did you mention your crcl but frequency is typically adjusted according to crcl eg every 48hr if crcl 10-19.

just ate lg portion of roasted red beets. are beets dangerous to your kidneys? or other internal stuff? i'm kinda freaked out.

Monitor: A single large portion should not be a problem. Beets are a healthy food, providing antioxidants and minerals. Keep in mind that beets also contain oxalates, which can increase the risk of kidney stones. Therefore, beets should not be eaten in large quantities by anyone with a history of kidney stones or kidney disease. Eating beets can also cause urine to turn red temporarily.

It is possible: You may have skin infection- cellulitis perhaps and needed to be treated with oral antibiotics before it worsens. Go see sa doctor now.

Doppler: A regular ultrasound shows shades of black and white to identify kidney sizes and structures. 
A doppler senses flow to (red) and from (blue) the probe.  Doppler ultrasound is used to rule out renal artery stenosis and venous obstruction in the kidneys.

why is it that there were only red and blue dots on one of my kidneys and not the other in an ultrasound?

May be...: The presence of red or blue dots on Doppler ultrasound study merely gives a rough indirect saying if arterial or venous blood there; they may not say much about how important they are. But, if a mass is suspected, need to further define its nature with either CT or MRI (usually CT), if clinical condition deemed necessary. e.g., evaluating blood in the urine. For individual need, ask Doc timely.

hi , i had an ultrasound done yesterday . it's showing red and blue blood in both kidneys . and also showing red colour +23.1 and  blue -23.1cm .

Ask your Doc ...: What you described is merely saying arterial (red) and venous (blue) circulation. As long as kidneys are normal in size, thickness, &amp; contour, and have well-even red/blue distribution inside them as well as you have normal renal function as shown in blood test, your kidneys are okay. had pcnl a month ago for staghorn kidney stone, all stones removed now passing small red "stones" unlike any i've passed before, are they stones?

Possibly. : After a major kidney procedure such as a pcnl for such a large stone. Stone fragments, sediment, and blood clots may pass for weeks.  This should clear with time, but if you are concerned you could strain your urine (urinary stone strainers exist), and collect some of the debris. This can be examined by the physician in a followup visit.

does drinking red bull causes kidney stones in men?

Not likely: It is not likely that drinking red bull will increase your risk of kidney stones. However the chemicals in the drink may have other deleterious effects. You would be better of switching to clean water.
