Depends.............: The only way to determine if you have immunity against the virus, you would need an antibody titer. If it is in the accepted protective range, then no. If the tier is below that level, then any exposure you might have had with the virus was not sufficient to produce immunity and you should then receive the mumps vaccine.

It doesn't: In the pre vaccine era, the wild mumps eventually infected the majority of both men and women in their childhood and this had no significant effect on reproduction.The weaker strain in the vaccine also has no effect on later fertility. Un-vaccinated adult males who have developed an inflammation of their testis, with the wild virus, have a small but possible reduction in fertility.

MMR after delivery: The mumps vaccine (MMR) is a live-virus vaccine, so it is not given to pregnant women or to women just about to become pregnant. It can be given to the mom after her baby is born.

Yes: The only reason to get the vaccine again is if you were found (by blood test) to not be immune.  Since rubella infection in pregnancy can cause some severe birth defects, we usually recommend that any woman who might become pregnant be immune to rubella.

Confusing question: You do not get the mumps from the vaccine. If the vaccine was given two weeks early, it is likely just as effective as if it were given on time. Some school systems/state health departments require that the vaccine be given on or after the birth date, but that is more a legislative issue & bureaucracy than a true need.I had to repeat the vaccine for several kids when the state law changed.

Childhood vaccine: The MMR is collection of live weakened germs that make up one of the standard vacccines of childhood.It is generally given first at 1yo and repeated at 4-5y. It helps a child develop protection against infecion by the measles, the mumps and the rubella (german measles) virus.

Mumps: It is if you didn't get your appropriate boosters.  You should have had a second MMR somewhere in late high school or early college-my guess based on your age.  We now booster at age 5 yo, we did middle school age for awhile with catch up.  If you think you might have mumps, you should seek medical advice.

Yes: It is unlikely that you will get it, but it has been shown that during the last us epidemic, the majority of teenagers who developed mumps indeed had had 2 dose of MMR earlier. It appears that immunity drops with age.

Yes: Because you had vaccine 10 years ago you should have the second dose to protect your self.
