Happens sometimes: An early menstrual period may be caused by changes in hormone levels, which can be due to anxiety, stress, overworking, intense exercise, fatigue, or excessive weight gain/loss. If pregnancy happens, implantation bleeding occurring 9-14 days after conception happens sometimes, and can last long enough to mimic an early period. A doctor can check, if symptoms are worrisome or recur.

However, if your last period started on April 25 and you have a 28 day cycle, your next period should start May 23 ( 28 days from start of one to start of the next is a 28 day cycle) and there is some normal variation from cycle to cycle so a period starting today would be normal.
