Should be fine: It sounds like your question is switching from one bcp type to another.  This is fine to do.  Once you finish one pack of bcp, then when you are due to start a new pack start the new bcp.  If you don't wait between packs, then the birth control protection continues.

i started taking mononessa the first day of my cycle. my cycle length has gone from 5days to 11 days. is this normal?

Yes if: It is the first month you started an oral  contraceptive, your first couple of periods might be abnormal and irregular, but if it persists, you should see your doctor.

taking mononessa 28s. took pill sunday. forgot mondays, took it tuesday at my normal time so i ended up taking two pills at the same time. protected?

Protected: As long as you only missed the one dose and took two at the normal time on the next day, you are protected.  If this has happened more than once in the last few weeks, however, you you will need to use an additional form of birth control for the next 1-2 weeks.

Yes, BUT …: You may, but assuming that different doctors prescribed each drug, you will want to tell both of them, especially the one who prescribed metoprolol. MonoNessa may increase blood levels of metoprolol and may require a dose reduction by your doctor.

Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time)  is very normal on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time.  If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen  then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the Nuvaring is not working.

was on microgestin until 21st. 23rd pd started. went to gyno 25th and got mononessa.started today. boyfriend gets here tomorrow.am i still protected?

OCP's: Did you start the pills on the 25th? If you started on the 25th, then you are still protected as you were pill free for four days only. However, since they are new, I would use backup protection, just to be sure, such as condoms until 7 pills have been taken.

on mononessa &started my pack a week late because of insurance problems but now i am on day 14... i missed a pill 2 days ago but took it 10 hours late?

Backup : If you miss a week, wait until you start your period then restart your new pill .  So your next 3 or 4 cycles will likely be a little erratic.  Hang in there and it should clear up.  But. You are at higher risk of pregnancy. So use condoms as well.

It is probably.....: Probably what is going on is your body is adjusting to the added hormones. It will take a few months but it should straighten out.  As always, if you are late on your period and feel you have symptoms of pregnancy, do a pregnancy test then follow up with your physician accordingly.

Dermatologist: Consider seeing a dermatologist who can suggest various shampoo or treatment options for oily hair. This is not going to be related to your birth control
