Partner may be upset: Otherwise nothing really. The yeast infection should just about be treated by day 6, but your partner may not want to take the risk of getting yeast on penis and what's one more day of waiting?

Probably safe but...: ...still best to continue to avoid vaginal sex until treatment is complete and symptoms are gone. Probably no harm with earlier sex, but physical stimulation might make symptoms worse and make it difficult to know for sure whether the treatment is working. Performing oral sex on your partner is no problem at all, but probably best that you avoid receiving oral as well as vaginal.

Re-visit MD: You need to re-visit the MD who gave you the fluconazole and be re-examined to see if the alleged yeast infection is still present or not.  Monistat over the counter is weaker than a Terazole Rx and does not always work.

No need to delay: There is no need to wait unless sex is uncomfortable. While using the 7 day treatment it is best to insert the daily dose after intercourse rather than before it. Hope this helps.

went to gyn dr diagnosis w/ bv. prescribed flagyl 500mg for 7days. had sex 3days later.. itching burning. taking monistat 7 not working at will.. why?

Cannot diagnose: Without an exam it is impossible to diagnose you over the internet. That being said, BV can be transmitted back to you by your sexual partner. He can apply antibiotic preparations to his penis twice a day while you are treating your bv.  Your current symptoms need an assessment by a professional.  Go to gynecologist. Best wishes.

Up to you: Yeast is not sexually transmitted so you do not have to use a condom. Generally people are uncomfortable having intercourse during an active yeast infection but if it is not bothering you then you may proceed. It is not harmful.

Probably OK, but...: ...maybe irritating. Yeast can be shared between sex partners but usually is not, and probably it's entirely safe to resume sex with your improving symptoms. However, friction, moisture, etc may be irritating, making it more difficult to evaluate the cause if your symptoms persist or worsen. Probably OK to take the chance, but something to be aware of.
