Accepted Answer

No: The vast majority of moles are benign (not cancerous). Nevertheless, you should have any strange looking, growing, discolored, asymmetric or new moles checked by your doctor.

i have two odd, brownish clearish moles, one on either breast. the right side one was very small to begin with, and is still small, but has doubled in size. should i be concerned? there is no pain.

Signs of Melanoma: There are certain signs specified by american cancer society called abcd to look for early detection of a concerning lesion. Asymmetry,  border irregularities, colour variability, diameter more than 6 mm. If  those signs are present then lesion should be biopsied. Any growing lesion with personal or family history of melanoma should be checked by a surgeon or a dermatolgist.

my daughter is on puberty & on her left areola, there's a mole since she was little. since her breasts are growing bigger, it is too. is this normal?

Yes: The mole is looking bigger as the skin under it is expanding. If the mole develops a nodule, ulcerates or bleeds, it would be prudent to see a doctor.

i have a freckle/mole on my breast that is two different shades of brown(half light, half dark).don't think it's grown in size, should i be concerned?

Probably NO: no "CONCERN" but get it checked out....

ANY skin pigmentation which is "mole" -like
should be checked at least ONCE

I'm not worried: Let your physician have a look. I'm glad you're observing your skin. It's common for benign nevi to have slight variability. If it does need to come off, changes are it's not a danger to you yet.

how long does it take for a normal mole to form? i have one under my breast that's pretty new and is still small (like 1mm). it looks like it's getting slightly bigger, though. i wasn't sure if mole formation is a longer process or an overnight one?

: Moles may develop at any age, but usually in ages up to the 30's. See your dermatologist for a complete skin exam , esp should you have any questionable lesions that are new and enlarging.
