How : How do you know you are allergic? If the exposure is alot, medication may not help. There may be other issues going on causing your symptoms. Have you spoken to an allergist and have you considered allergy shots?

Discharge: If you are not having any other symptoms such as burning or itching, the discharge can still be normal. Depending on the phases  of your menstrual cycle, the mucus can vary in thickness.

Hormone changes: at ovulation, cause the mucous to become stringy or very stretchy.  You likely are not ovulating. Insulin resistance/polycystic ovarian syndrome, is possibly. Testing with your doctor would be important.
