Several: Topiramate, certain beta blockers(not all penetrate the blood brain barrier) and verapamil are the mainstays to date.

Many: If caught early enough Excedrin or alive or Ibuprofen may help.  If these meds do not work then medications like Imitrex (sumatriptan) or other medications in the same class should help.

I don't think so: because it contains butalbital, a controlled substance. 
You might want to try to find my checklist for Managing migraines, which contains many suggestions for dealing with them without prescription medication.  The most effective OTC medication is motion sickness medicine such as dramamine.  We give something like this IV in the ED and it works wonderfully.  Good luck!

Definitely: Medication overuse migraine, which results from the repetitive and chronic use of headache abortive medications for three months or more . Good example Excedrin Migraine. It is a serious and complex neurologic disorder. Headache, vertigo, visual disturbances nausea, sensitivity to light or sound, dizziness, neck pain. This condition must be professionally managed.

No.: Migraine-specific medications are designed to work for migraine headaches. Depending on the medication, they may provide little or no relief for other forms of headache and instead, only expose the patient to unnecessary side effects or complications.  Check with the physician that manages your headaches as to his/her advice for treating common cephalgias.

Yes, potentially: If one looks in pdr, one would think that all drugs could cause headaches, but some are more often the culprits.  Watch out for female hormonal agents, medicines used for blood pressure control, items to control thyroid fnctn, some ms and anti-epileptic drugs, just to name a few.

Everyone different: To stop headaches, most doctors would recommend triptans (such as frova, relpax, (eletriptan) maxalt, zomig, etc.), but ergotamines are also of value.  Maybe best to prevent and could use botox, depakote, topirimate, beta-blockers, but also might consider otc items such as butterbur, riboflavin, coq-10, feverfew, magnesium.
