Ovarian Cancer: Ovarian cancer is very rare in young adults.  Abdominal pain symptoms can be due to problems in the gastroentestinal system as well as genitourinary system. If your symptoms continue best to follow up with physician.

Pain: Ovarian cancer would not be first on my problem list for you, but 2 weeks of pelvic pain is not normal.  Infection, ovarian cyst, fibroid all possible.  You should be seen.

Related to spread: Metastatic refers to a cancer that has spread from the original site that it originated from to a more distant site in the body.  For example, if a woman had ovarian cancer and it spread to the lungs then this would be consider metastatic disease.

Varies: Nobody can really give you a specific time period.  We usually look at 5 year survival rates.  If you know the stage of cancer, you can easily find the corresponding 5 year survival rate on the internet.  This tells you what percentage of patients with that stage of cancer will live beyond 5 years.  Hope this helps.

Yes that would be th: Spread into kidney is uncommon. It may occur by surface implantation when there is intra-abdominal tumor all round the kidneys or it could spread via blood although that is a less common route of spread for ovarian cancer compared to most other cancers.

Yes, but...: It is possible that a renal ultrasound might detect some findings associated with ovarian cancer but the cancer would have to be relatively advanced for such findings to be present. Ascites (fluid in the abdomen) soft tissue masses on the abdominal wall (peritoneal implants), and blockage of the kidneys may be seen. The ovaries themselves would not typically be studied.
