Rare skin cancer: Merkel cell is a rare skin cancer which must be treated surgically. It is derived from neuron doctrine cells and is rare compared to melanoma, basal or squamous cell carcinoma. It can occur on the face or extremities mad removal may recur lymph node dissection. It can spread  to lymph nodes and radiation may be used after surgery to increase cure.

Rare type skin tumor: Merkel cell carcinoma (mcc) is an unusual and highly aggressive skin cancer and often appears in the elderly population. More than one half of all mccs occur on the head and neck. Mcc has a high propensity for local recurrence, as well as spread to distant sites.

Cutaneous neoplasm: Merkel-cell carcinoma (MCC) is a rare and highly aggressive form of skin cancer.  in most cases, is caused by the Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCV). It  serves as cutaneous neuroendocrine carcinoma of the skin  is mostly  seen on skin of face as a pink or red nodule and metastasizes rapidly like an aggressive melanoma.  It does respond fairly well to wide excision when possible followed by Radiation
