Possibly: If you have not had a period in a while, the period after progesterone may be pretty heavy.  If you were having regular periods before, this may not be normal. You need to discus this with your GYN.

Lots of options: There are multiple medical options. Hormonal treatments such as birth control pills, Progesterone treatments and the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud are effective reversible treatments that will help many people. There is also a drug called Lysteda that contains no hormones which will help others. If you are done having children discuss the option of an endometrial ablation. I prefer genesys hta for ablations.

Menses with fever: While in some women periods may be very heavy and include blood clots and nausea, fever is usually not part of a normal period.  None of these symptoms are normal if this is the first time it is happening.  These symptoms can potentially be seen in miscarriages, particularly after three months of missed periods, or in pelvic infections.  This needs to be seen by a gynecologist.

The way you are: If you are talking about seeing blood clots coming out of your vagina, that can be normal.  Just like if you cut your skin and then it clots and forms a scab, the blood coming out of your uterus can clot inside of your vagina before it comes out, especially if you are lying down or sitting down for more than about an hour.

contraceptive pills such as diane 35 prescribed for hirsutisme and late menstrual cycle can cause blood clots. if a patient takes diane 35 and get a nose bleed, should they be concerned? could it mean they are getting blood clots as a side effects?

Birth control pills: While birth control pills are associated with an increased risk of clotting (usually in leg veins), other risk factors such as smoking, inherited or acquired risk of clotting, are also considerations.  Nosebleeds would not be typical in someone with clotting.  Please call your prescriber to discuss.

No: Mrcp is not contraindicated during menstrual bleeding. Not sure why that happened. I'm guessing it's not related.

Heavy flow: When you bleed the blood clots & the the clot dissolves due to enzymes which break down clots to allow for easier flow out of the body.  When bleeding is faster or heavier than the breakdown process clots are passed.

Rapid bleeding: Rapid menstrual bleeding is usually arterial and not venous due to a more abnormal condition. The blood is sitting in the vagina before being passed as to why it is dried out. Contact your GYN MD to be assessed for why this is occurring and to be checked for anemia.(low blood levels)

Heavy menses causes: Heavy menstral bleeding and bleeding between cycle can be caused by endometriosis, thickened uterine lining, cancer, disorders with coagulation. You should get in to see your doc to be checked for anemia, loss of blood and the true cause of your heavy menses. Sometimes a simple outpatient uterine ablation is all you need to stop this problem.
