Mineral: A mineral sunscreen (my personal favorite is TiZO) will give the best sun protection without the greasiness of many chemical sunscreens.  The TiZO has a nice matte finish and can come with a tint, letting many of my patients replace their foundation, which can also help with oiliness and breakouts.

Sun Protection: The most important thing when selecting a sunscreen is to make sure it provides full spectrum protection against uva and uvb rays as these are what can damage skin and your underlying cells.
Their are a number of sunscreens indicated for oily skin.
Pay attention to key ingredients - those with zinc oxide provide instant protection as compared to chemical blocks which take time to become effective.

Skin sensitivity: You may be sensitive to -- or even allergic to -- some of the chemicals in the sun screen you're using.  This is not uncommon. Possible culprits may be ingredients like paba and benzophenones -- one of the most common causes of sunscreen-induced contact dermatitis.  Check your labels and see what's in the stuff you're rubbing onto your skin. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide may be less irritating.

Water based: Non comedogenic suncreens are good.
many are non oily bases.
You may use an acne type wash to counter this effect once a day.
Do avoid over drying of skin too.

Scientific Rx: Any physician can manage acne in the 21st century, and you have a right to effective treatment. A good start for most guys is topical Clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide, adding an antibiotic such as tetracycline 500 mg 2x/day. This should be sufficient for what you describe. Glad you're using sunscreen -- you're starting adult life with healthy habits. Good luck.

Sunscreen: Sunscreen will help prevent the dark spots from becoming darker due to sun exposure but doesn't have therapeutic value with regards to shrinking pores or reducing oiliness (other products are available for this).  Hypersensitivity to sunscreens is a real issue, but choosing one that is labeled for sensitive skin can possibly prevent adverse reaction.  Good luck!

what's the difference between sunscreen with spf 25 and spf 50+? which one i should use?

SPF 25 is fine.: The SPF refers to how much time one can spend in the sun without burning, on average of course.  Typically we'd burn in ~10 minutes without any sunscreen.  SPF x 10 then gives us the time we can spend with sunscreen.  So SPF 25 gives us ~250 minutes, or ~4 hours.  SPF 50 would give us ~500 minutes (~8.5 hours).  For practical purposes, then, SPF 25 is usually high enough.
