Ongoing menses: If you are seeing a gynecologist, it's time to check in and explain that your current regimen isn't working for you.  His/her objectives may be different (e.g. controlling blood loss and anemia).  There are other treatments, but only someone familiar with your medical history is able to recommend for you safely. Micronor (norethindrone) only contains progsterone, and is used for patients who may have contraindications to estrogen or for breastfeeding patients (estrogen drys up milk production). Therefore, expect some spotting to irregular bleeding.
