There are multiple: There are many alternative choices of medicine for athero.  The best and by far both the most effective and safe are the statins.  Others including fibrates, Niaspan (niacin) and others.  If you are asking if there are any supplements then no. There are lifestyle things you can do including stop smoking, exercise (40 minutes daily, but gtake your time getting to that point) and eat a mediteranian type diet.

Arteries: Please continue to see your doc and do what he/she says.  Beyond that, consider a process called chelation.  It can be done w/oral natural meds or the older and more time-consuming IV drip method.  There is lots of science to back this up but some docs may not be aware.  The TACT study is a good one. Any exercise: For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Anticoagulants: Complicated answer, there are different mechanisms for arterial vs venous clotting. Platelets more critical for arterial clotting.
