Maybe, but...: It's possible that it does, at least according to the press release that got so much attention.  Then again, lots of things kill hiv...Soap and water, for example.  What we need is something that extracts HIV dna from human dna.  I doubt that this toenail cream can do that!

It depends: Ciclopirox cream is used to treat infections caused by fungus, and therefore may be used to treat ringworm, candida, tinea versicolor and possibly seborrheic dermatitis. So, while it would likely be safe to use this cream if may not be helpful. See a dermatologist to determine the possibly cause of your condition. Once a diagnosis is made then a proper treatment can be prescribed.

LOPROX (ciclopirox) AND BALANITIS: Loprox (ciclopirox) can be effective to treat balanitis if the problem is due to fungal infection. You need to get a culture before you should use this medication.

: If you want to clean your hair with another shampoo then you have to use the non-medicated shampoo first, rinse it off thoroughly then apply ciclopirox shampoo as instructed. Because the medicated shampoo also has cleaning effect so it is best to use this shampoo only.
