Foods high in phytic acid include whole-grain products and wheat bran, beans, seeds, nuts, and soy isolates.

Get OFF drugs?: Diet, exercise, and wt loss can lower blood pressure, cholesterol, & blood sugar. If you attain normal body mass index, exercise regularly, and avoid salt, you might be able to reduce or even stop some or all of your medications. But everyone is different and you should work with your doctor.

Vitamin D: The only medicine that cures deficiency of vitamin d is vitamin d! take d3, about 5000 units/day but spending time in the sun helps you make your own d. Vit d is essential for absorbing calcium, so adequate d should help you absorb calcium from your diet- leafy greens are a good source. It is also wise to take some vit a & vit k, which work in conjunction with vit d.

Calcium deposits: are probably not reversible.  But he can prevent formation of soft plaques before they calcify, by controlling his risk factors, such as hypertension, diabetes, and elevated lipids, as best as possible.
