Thin skin or meds.: Usually the bruises are due to being on aspirin, or blood thinners (coumadin (warfarin) or such meds), or having very fragile skin/blood vessels.

Increase bruising is: Increase bruising on your body my be an indication of bleeding factor abnormality.  It is common when taking blood thinners.  It would be important to have your doctor check your inr values.

Skin Rash &amp; Itching are sometimes associated with terbinafine but not bruises usually. One could also be allergic to terbinafine. Best to see one's PCP to examine the bruises and determine the cause.

Primary care doc?: Definitely of concern. Make sure she stays hydrated. A variety of conditions-infectious and blood related may account for her symptoms and would suggest involving her doc early. If getting worse it is always OK to take her back to ER.

It is important to know where the nodule is, what medications you are on and whether you are having other symptoms such as cough, bowel problems arthritis.  You should see your primary care doctor.  He may refer you to a dermatologist for a biopsy.

Self Harm: She should be involved in counseling. Talk to her school and she if there are any worrisome issues there. She may be under significant stress. In the meantime distraction or ignoring the behavior might help. Medication may not be the best answer. All the best.
