Just as in women who have breast reduction, removing the tissue is permanent, although if patients have significant weight gain after the surgery the remaining tissue can enlarge, so he will just need to avoide weight gain.

Also diet plays a big role but see a doctor to make sure hormones are where they are supposed to be.
