it happens in people who have compromised immune system.Major examples are multiple myeloma, leukemias and lymphomas and some others.

B cell proliferation: Ptld for short are benign and malignant inflammations caused by proliferating lymphocytes (usually b cells) ,  in many cases it is initialed by infection with the epstein barr virus.  If they progress and become monoclonal, they act and are treated like non-hodgkin's lymphomas.  Reducing immunosuppression is the best first approach.    Chemotherapy may be required.

It is not a diagnosi: It means increased number of lymphoid cells. It is not a diagnosis in itself. It simply means that there is concern that something is wrong in the lymphoid cells(lymphocytes which are commonly present inside many organs, in lymph nodes and in the bone marrow. You should seek second opinion to ascertain proper/real diagnosis.

Here, i think, more work up needs to be done- particularly  to classify what type of lymphoproliferative  disorder this is and also how much tumor burden and prognostication. D/w md.
