i was taking 10 units of 1 mg lupron to start a frozen embryo transfer. i stopped it on 11/12 & have not had a period since 10/20.when will it return?

Lupron/period: Lupron is used to prepare for a new receptive site for an embryo transfer, and it is also used in cases of endometriosis to reduce scattered endometrial implants in the abdomen.  Stopping Lupron will usually allow resumption of normal cycles in five to six weeks, but may take a bit longer.

what does this mean on us of ovaries? mixed echogenic structure with no peripheral blood flow. hx of endometriosis and currently administering sq lupron in preparation for embryo transfer. is this concerning or expected?

: That finding is commonly seen in patient with a history of endometriosis.

Depends: On how long ago you were implanted. HCG levels are quite variable. If you have concerns, contact your fertility medicine doctor. If you develop severe pain or bleeding, call your doctor. Hope this helps!

Not really: Is this a frozen embryo transfer embryos from donor egg? Bleeding can come from a lot of sources, sometimes the cervix instead of the uterus. Usually it is not associated with cramping.

Beta HCG level: Sometimes with embryo transfer, the implantation into the uterine wall is delayed, so the generation of beta HCG may be as well.  Any level above 10 is associated with pregnancy, but "332" is low, and should be checked again in five to seven days, since the rise should be rapid.  If bleeding or one sided pain occurs, see your healthcare provider immediately.

Ask: It is not likely that intercourse was restricted by your doctor.I notice you have asked a lot of questions regarding restrictions before your upcoming FET. Consider scheduling a visit to make sure you feel confident and fully informed as to how to process what will work and exactly how to prepare. Perfect lining: I assume you will start Progesterone replacement  soon as part of your protocol before your fet.  Once Progesterone begins you will not see much growth (and possibly some thining) of the endometrial lining.  Ideally you want the lining above 8 mm and triple line in appearance before start of the progesterone.  There is no hard data on maximum thickness but some feel its around 18 mm.

Some: Procedurally it's no different, other than the hormone-replacement leading up to fet. Experts may disagree on whether the  number of embryos transferred should differ. We treat FET exactly like fresh if  the embryos were frozen by vitrification; if frozen with the old method, we consider more embryos for transfer. We find vitrified/thawed embryos perform just as well as fresh of similar quality.
