Colon mass: if you have a mass in the colon, the first thing you need to have is a colonoscopy and biopsy of the mass to find out what it is.

Tumor : Quarantine is not necessary as long as you are not in infection contact . It does not make sense why utensils needed to be discarded,?

Maybe: If you have noted a lump that was not there before or has increased in size, get it properly evaluated. It may be colon cancer or any other intrabdominal or abdominal wall tumor or merely a hernia or abscess. In any case get it evaluated by an expert/specialist.

my dad had ca colon in 2006 and was cured. he has a recurrence in peritoneum along with a mass and a lymphnode . can you suggest the best centres?

It is relative: It is relative. Since i don;t know where is your location- it is difficult to answer your question. Are you in us? India? To me, best center is the one close by to you where you know  your dad would get a good care and full support from his family. He would need to get treatment asap-so my suggestion is to go to see his oncologist-then he can be reffered to tertiary cancer center later on.

have giant liver hemagioma .i feel like a long hard lump on right upper quandrant is that my liver or colon ? could dr feel the colon on a physical?

Usually not: Cannot usually feel the colon on examination unless there is a mass on/in the colon. Hemangiomas in the liver are usually not a problem unless they impaired function of the liver or blood flow through the liver. Not sure exactly what you're feeling on your right upper quadrant. Best to see your doctor, show them what you are feeling so they can help you determine what this is and whether a problem.

Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy is often not only damaging to cancer cells, but also to non-cancerous cells.  Additionally, the therapy affects cells that divide rapidly.  This unfortunately includes immune cells, so while undergoing chemotherapy you are considered to have a compromised immune system.

As a result, the precautions you listed protect you from potential infections.

Please explain: I think both I and some of my friends have tried to reassure you, but the "bottom line" is that if you're having symptoms here that have lasted two weeks or more, it needs to be seen by your personal physician. Cancer's unlikely, but there are a host of other troubles here that can make you miserable. We can't examine you at a distance. Pick up the phone and get seen.

Unlikely but see dr: Difficult to say likelihood without more history, but for a tumor to be palpable through the abdomen it usually would have to be fairly large, and likely would not be the only symptom if it were this big.  You would have likely had other symptoms before this such as obstruction, constipation, weight loss, fatigue, blood in stools, anemia etc.

i've got in my head that i have colon cancer, but gi says he doesn't feel lump i feel in rectaum?

Need endoscopy: March is colorectal cancer awareness month, early stages colon cancer is curable. If you think you feel lump in the rectum, you should have good examination, stool for  presence blood &its products, endoscopy. Stromal cell tumors are in the wall of rectum, need endsonogram. If you are a female, rectocele may feel like a lump to you. Ask your doctor to give you better explanation.
