Blood in stool: Blood is stool may be from malignancy, hemorrhoid, inflammatory bowel disease, dysentery from infection such as ameba, shigella , virus. Need to see a doctor for evaluation.

Need exam in person: Based on your complaint and description, you need to visit your local doctor for a low back exam.  it could be viscerosomatic (colitis bothering back) or could be musculoskeletal.  You may need to go down both paths,  a colonoscopy and some physical therapy,  x rays and possibly an MRI.

Needs full eval: Sandra, this is a concerning and I'm sure distressing set of symptoms that need to be worked through systematically. The mucus in stool is concerning for inflammatory bowel disease; perhaps the bowel issues are contributing to recurrent urinary tract infection &amp; abdominal pain. Pain in back not clear. Green stool mucus: May be inflammatory bowel worse when sitting  because of increase in abdominal pressure or food intolerances ( gluten, soy -try a week off gluten products ), or irritable bowel or gallbladder-,bile is green  Diet (green) cause green stool as well. Back pain may be from the bowel itself or an associated arthritis seen in some inflammatory  bowel diseases. .  follow up with  GI doc this week

In the US, parasitic infection is probably least common -- probably under one chance in a thousand (maybe a bit more likely if you have traveled to the tropics or a developing country). Your symptoms are most consistent with irritable bowel syndrome. Keep working with your doctor, or see a gastroenterologist. Good luck.
