Other prescriptions: See your doctor. There are other prescriptions available for acne besides antibiotics. Sometime we use immune modulators  or other classes of creams and pills to help. Soft primary care doctors are comfortable with this. If yours is not then see a dermatologist.

Unlikely: Acne in adolescence is believed to form from increased testosterone levels causing more sebum (oil skin) production.  This increases the amount of certain bacteria that live on your skin and can cause inflammation.  The inflammation can cause increased skin cells to form.  All these things result in a blockage and the formation of a pimple. Food should not effect these events.

Likely 'baby acne': If the rash is restricted to the face/neck its likely a variant of acne and will not harm the child.  In rare cases it can be severe enough to merit medical treatment, but if its an eruption of small whitehead or small red bumps than i'd simply let it run its course.

Pimples: are an unfortunate part of being a teen-ager.  If you are older than that please see a dermatologist.  A teen-ager can see one also.  Be sure to keep skin clean, avoid make up that is not hypoallergenic and avoid trans fats as found in junk food.  Do not use any skin lotion containing alcohol.  Peace and good health.

Scientific Rx: If topical benzoyl peroxide 5% 2x/day hasn't cleared you in two weeks, get with your personal physician who will add something stronger to this regimen. If it's face-only, probably adding topical Clindamycin or a short course of a systemic tetracycline will do the trick. You can't cure acne but you can keep it under control until it self-cures as you get older.
