Maybe: If it does not end up being the correct bcp for your skin; make a follow up appointment to change the medication and consider other prescriptions that help as well as topical creams.

Some: some women do have acne with this product and personally I don't use lo loestrin too often because it is such a low dose that pregnancy rates are higher.  For acne, I like Ortho tricyclen lo.  It has an FDA indication for mild cystic acne prevention.

Lo lo estrin: Changing birth control causes hormonal realignment. certainly if it continues review with your GYN but very likely just your body adjusting

Possible: May consider switching ocp brand.  Minocycline may also be the possible culprit depending on when initiated.  If unsure, may seek evaluation with allergist.

Not likely: You changed brands and slightly increased the dose. Birth control pills usually improve acne and they are not related to weight gain.

That depends.: If you are starting from scratch, begin Loestrin 24 Fe on day 1 of period or on 1st sunday after day 1. Use white tab x 24 days & then brown tab x 4 days.  If you start on a sunday – use back up protection until you have taken the white pill x 7 straight days. Over a one year period if the loestrin24 fe is taken correctly (no missed pills) the pregnancy rate is about 1%.

No: It is only "lo lo" with respect to other birth control pills on the market, but still contains significant estrogen.

Depends: It is depend on individual pts but common side effects are headache, nausea, vomiting, breakthough bleeding, breast tenderness...You should call your doctor if side effect occurs though it is not listed above as well.

if i weigh 155lbs, will lo loestrin fe still work for me?

It should: Yes Lo Loestrin should still work, be in close relationship with your MD who prescribed it to you so you can keep up with any side effect (should not have much).  You may experience irregular periods the first 1-2 months but after that should be regulated.  Check your hemoglobin/anemia regularly as well.
