None to pain, fever: When liver bile ducts decrease in diameter, this is called "stricture". It can be due to several reasons. There are also diseases which can cause decrease in diameter. This can cause your liver tests to become abnormal. Complications, such as infection can occur which can cause pain, fever, etc. Occasionally, very mild decrease in diameter can be normal variant, which may not give you symptom.

No: Bile is motor-oil color and consistency as it exits the liver, golden-brown.  This gives stool it's characteristic color.

Slight chance: Pathologists are experts for diagnosing cancer from a single cell , in order to do that must get an intact undamaged cell , must preserve it , properly  store & label it and send to cyto-pathology lab , even in presence of ca brush may miss it, all of the above can  happen then will false negative results , 85 - 90 % time will not  happen , will have correct diagnosis , good luck to your dad.

interested to know if iodine taken orally would get into the liver and bile, and kill bacteria in there?

Danger: Your body needs a tiny amount of iodine to prevent a thyroid condition called goiter. You get that from food or iodized salt in your diet. More iodine is very dangerous and in any case won't kill bacteria in your body. If you think you have an infection, you must see a doctor.

Liver bile: It doesn't, but if obstructed in the main duct your stool becomes harder and clay colored and this is a serious sign that reuires immediate medical attention.

i have borderline liver enlargement but bile ducts not dilated and liver texture is normal. what does it mean?

Usually nothing : I have lots of people in my office with that.  They usually come to me with suspected gallbladder disease, and when I operate, the liver looks normal.  If your liver lab tests are normal and you're not taking too much Tylenol (acetaminophen) or drinking too much alcohol, I wouldn't worry about it.

other liver tests are normal . what am this exactly mean ?

Some ideas: If this is mostly direct bilirubin, some off the small bile ducts have been damaged. If mostly indirect, find a cause of hemolysis. If a mix, the loss of liver parenchyma is more severe than in most cases of metastatic disease. All are serious.

how invasive is an ercp endoscopy? if an eu was preformed but nothing of note showed up what are the chances of being scheduled an ercp if issues with the liver gallbladder and bile ducts are suspected? is gallbladder removal more common than ercp?

Depends: I your MD has done an Ultrasound of your GB and EU and they are non remarkable then the natural progression is to do ERCP.  Discuss you concerns with your MD.
