It is possible: Leukemia itself may reduce your white blood cells that fight infection (granulocytes) but many of the treatments we use to destroy these leukemia cells also reduce your normal granulocytes. This can increase your chance of infection and spread to the blood stream (sepsis). Antibiotics offer some protection from this happening.

No: Asthmatic patients are not at any higher risk to develop serious bacterial infection when compared with general population.

Yes: Scid children have a much decreased ability to fight off infections, so they can develop overwhelming sepsis infections from germs that would only cause minor problems in normal, non-scid children.

Maybe: Digeorge syndrome children have a problem with their t cells, so they have trouble fighting off fungal, viral, and pneumocystis infections. This immune deficiency behaves similarly to the t cell problems seen in aids patients. A pediatric infectious disease or immunology specialist can help assess whether or not a digeorge patient is at high risk when he gets a particular bacterial infection.

Depends: It depends on what the symptoms were in the first place.  There are many reason why a WBC count could be high; if it just came down by itself and just happened to be the same time as when IV antibiotics were given, it would mean nothing.  However, if the symptoms were compatible with infection, and they went away on antibiotics, then it would be likely, yes.

Unfortunately No: For many infections either by bacteria or by viruses, one can take blood, or body fluid (such as sputum, urine) or tissue (such as a biopsy), and culture them in the lab, or use a test to show us any evidence of a particular bacteria or virus. But all these tests are done in a lab. You cannot usually tell if a given infection is caused by which, though a viral infection is usually self-limiting.

Ciprofloxacin: Would not treat myself with this drug without knowing what your were treating and whether the causative organisms were likely to be sensitive to the antibiotic. Would strongly recommend that you place yourself in the hands of a concerned and knowledgeable physician.

Antibiotics: The way you are taking the antibiotics is one of the ways we get bacteria that are resistant.  Taking it for a couple of doses, stopping it for a few days, then starting again.  Or just taking it for a few days then stopping.  This selects for bacteria that are resistant to the drug because they are exposed but not killed, they develop immunity or resistance.   Take all your antibiotics tell gone.

can a bacterial infection of the vagina cause burning/redness of whole vulva, anus, and urethra? or is this more likely vulvodynia?

Bacteria can : Bacteria, yeast, and viruses like herpes can all do this. With something so severe you definitly need to be seen by a doctor.
