Melanonychia: Longitudinal melanonychia may be a sign of subungual melanoma (acral lentiginous melanoma), although there are other diagnosis such as chronic paronychia, onychomycosis, subungual hematoma, pyogenic granuloma, glomus tumour, subungual verruca, mucous cyst, subungual fibroma, keratoacanthoma, carcinoma of the nail bed, and subungual exostosis.

See MD: Studies show what you are observing is longtitudinal melanonychia or melanonychia striata, fancy nomenclature for a pigmented line on your nail.
There are concerning causes that are less likely including sublingual melanoma, a cancer, that should be examined by a Dermatologist and possibly ruled out by biopsy for safety. Other causes include drugs, fungus, systemic ill, or just benign pigmentation

Trauma vs infection: The most common cause of splinter like hemorrhages seen through the nail in the ail bed, come from trauma. I've had them in the past from tapping my nails on the desk. I had to break the habit. Splinter hemorrhages as signs of infection are more often seen at the base of the nail near the cuticle. Again, the most common cause of these hemorrhages is trauma, even as minor as tapping your nail.

6 months: A fingernail will grow out completely in 6 months. So you might see clear nail coming out from the cuticle in a few more weeks. You might have a chronic paronychia which can be treated by a dermatologist. If it is BLACK see a dermatologist now.

See a doctor: If you are concerned you are turning jaundiced you need blood work to check your liver.  If it is also on the nails you have a fungus infection or psoriasis.  There are many skin abnormalities that can cause this.

Brown fingertips : There are two things that come to mind. Normal pigment from a person of dark color, or melanoma. Fungal infections also cause brown nails. The proper diagnosis comes from an inspection of the nail and doing a good examination

Nail coloration : I have had several patients with this same question. The most common answer to this is... its just colored nails, nothing to worry about. It sometimes starts after pregnancy. It would be unusual that is is something serious. The best specialist who could give you an answer is a dermatologist looking at it in person.
