This : This should be evaluated by a urologist asap.  A physical exam and possibly an ultrasound would be performed.  Possibilities include infection or inflammation, however malignancy must be excluded.

Varicocele: Varicoceles occur on the left due to higher pressure in the left testicular vein (lgv in pic), transmitted via the left renal vein (lrv in pic).  The main problem this causes is loss of testicular temperature regulation.  Correction is surgical, but not always necessary.  Indications for surgery including pain, fertility problems and loss of testicular volume.

Some possibilities: While masturbation, depending on how traumatic/rough one is could potentially cause this- it would be unlikely. A more likely cause would be a urinary tract infection, kidney stone, or even epidydimytis/prostatitis. Bottom line is you need to call your doctor, and get a urinalysis and culture

He needs evaluation: He needs to see his family physician or a dermatologist as it may be something needs to be treated.It can be a benign ulcer, infection or a sexually transmitted disease.I do not want to alarm you without examination, but it needs to be checked to make proper diagnosis.So go to the doctor or a clinic asap.

Time for test: In your age group, epididymitis is a possible cause (so is urethritis, or stds), and should be evaluated by a urologist, or can start w/your regular dr or urgent care for urine check and exam.

i might have injured my left testicle but im not sure whether if it is injured or not because there is no pain. there is also no blood in my urine. is this a good way to confirm that it isnt injured?

Interesting...: If one's left hand looks fine and is working normally as usual with no symptoms, we don't go checking to see if the left hand is injured. Likewise, if one's left testicle looks the same, feels the same, and acts the same as usual, plus has no symptoms, we don't go checking to see if it is injured... unless the "mechanism of injury" is one that almost guarantees damage was done.

Testicular pain: Painful testes can be very debilitating.  If there is pain, there is a reason.  A urologist evaluates and treats this condition.
