Not sure: Unfortunately no one can give an answer as to why one develops an allergy to any allergen. At the most basic level, for some reason, one now sees an innocuous substance as an allergen.

Sometimes severe: Some people may have a severe allergic reactions to latex and may go into anaphylactic shock which is a medical emergency.  People with latex allergies may carry an epinephrine pen in case of such an emergency.

Yes: Freckles, also called ephiledes occur on sun exposed skin and are a response to sun exposure and can occur at any age. People with fair skin color, lighter hair and light eyes are more likely to develop freckles. In addition, freckles that already are present may get darker with sun exposure.

Call around: If you cannot find them at a large chain pharmacy, try one of the smaller family owned pharmacies as their owners are often more willing to "go the distance."  amazon.Com has several brands of latex free, often called "nitrile" exam gloves, usually in boxes of 100 and in sizes from small to x-large for under 11 dollars a box.  About what i pay for the office from medical supply vendors.

Latex-free products: I know that sounds simple, but if you're allergic to latex, you should avoid products that contain latex (gloves, condoms, balloons, etc.). You might also be careful with certain foods that cross-react (kiwi and banana for example).

Depends: Many reasons-- if baby just 1-2 days old, may just take practice.  If 3-4 days old, your breasts may be so engorged w/ milk that baby cannot latch well--in this case, you can pump to make it easier for baby to latch.  After 4+ days old, most latching problems are due to technique, or a difficult shaped nipple.  See your doc or lactation consultant for help.

Rubber: Latex is a substance derived from certain plants, which is used to make rubber products, especially gloves.  Since it is a natural plant product, it contains many proteins, which some people may be allergic to.

Listen and feel: A good latch may take some practice for both mom and baby. Signs of a good latch: your baby's mouth covers the nipple and much of the areola, your baby's lips are everted against the breast, you can hear a rhythmic suck and swallow, you and your baby are relaxed. Signs of a poor latch: you hear clicking but not suck/swallow, you have pain that persists, your baby is fussy or squirmy.

Testing  / history: blood testing for type I hypersensitivity, or patch testing for type IV hypersensitivity, history as well is suggestive, an allergist can help you sorting it out, good luck
