Tests are accurate: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon.

Now: In the US, the usual pattern starts with first sexual activity or by age 21. HPV strains differ in their effect on your system. The pap smear is one way to monitor the effect of related strains. The genital wart strains would produce visible warts on most infected persons.  HPV would not be a common cause of  cycle changes or yeast infections.

: Irregular menstrual periods are common. The fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone can be easily affected by stress, weight gain/loss, exercise, lack of sleep, thyroid problems, and uterine issues. Oral contraceptives can regulate these fluctuations. If the symptoms persist, talk to your Dr about your irregular periods and what testing can be done to determine the cause.

Possible : Sperm can come out of the penis before the main ejaculation. In addition sperm can live in the woman's reproductive tract for several days and they will make their way up into the uterus.  Getting pregnant is unlikely with what you describe but it is possible.

Could be: Lack of sleep and excess stress will alter your immune system's function and since one of the things that women are forever susceptible to under those conditions are yeast infections well then, you've just joined the ranks of millions of women with similar problem. Having said that you'd be wise to see your doctor to make sure that in fact, THOSE are the reasons and not something else like an STD.

The : The Plan B likely interfered with your body's normal hormonal balance. It may take up to three months after taking it to get a period. However a blood pregnancy test is not a bad idea at this point. Otherwise, if your period does not come in the next month see your doctor. He/she can prescribe a pill that can induce a period, and then a birth control pill can be started to stabilize your period and prevent pregnancy.

ive been using boric acid on and off for some months now and ive missed my period for 2 months but im not pregnant. i used boric acid suppositories to prevent yeast infections a lot because they would be recurrent, is that be why my period is late?

: Vaginal boric acid has no effect on menstruation. Something else is going on. Check with your doctor if you go another month or two with missed periods. Good luck.
