i had a knot right under my left shoulder blade so i had friend rub it. felt really dizzy after and got pale. still feel dizzy 2days later. any ideas?

I don't: think your symptoms are related to massage, just coincidence.  Have your doctor check your dizziness symptoms, because it can be a result of many things such as heart disease or even a stroke.

Massage then mri: Tears in muscles often respond to massage.  If it doesn't improve than may be a problem in the spine and require a mri.  Physical therapy can help.

why does my right shoulder drop about 4 inches with a lot of pain, which is not level with other side. musle knot at back of shoulder blade as well.

Scoliosis: This sounds like scoliosis spinal curvature has twisted the ribcage around to make a knot on one side of the back and dropped the shoulder plane with the curvature.

i constantly have a knot behind my right shoulder blade, it moves when it is touched. is it muscle related? or should i have it checked out?

Lump near shoulder: There are a few possibilities.  If it is painful and no lump or nodule is found then it can muscle spasms causing a knot.  It could be a cyst or a lipoma which is a fat collection.  If the size of it is greater than 1 cm or it has grown recently or has become more painful or it is causing other symptoms like numbness then i would have it evaluated.

Muscle spasm: Knots in muscles are usually due to local spasm. Much of the time they go away on their own. Sometimes you need to visit a massage therapist or myofascial release practitioner to get them worked out. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

Scapular pain: Most scapular pain is caused by muscle spasm (since the scapula is a free floating bone, there are lots of muscle to hold it in place, and it is easy for them to be overworked). Stress is a common cause. If the pain is well localized, an injection of cortisone, saline, or local anesthetic may help. Exercises to stretch and strengthen (pt) will help. Ibuprofen should help.

painless lump top of right shoulder/blade overnight. not hard but not soft &when using a massager,pain moved to another part of my back. back/neck/shoulder sore no workouts. maybe stress/posture? muscle knot? or get checked out?

Should see your PCP: As a detailed hx ; examination are required to evaluate your symptoms. Xrays, and mri/ct scans might be needed to DX the problem. An orthopod referral would probably be generated or with a spine surgeon, if its deemed the pain is from a spine cause.

Several options: If you've had a recent laparoscopic procedure, the gas utilized during that procedure can case shoulder pain for several days.  Other than that, pain in that area could be caused by a thoracic radiculopathy or a trigger point, among other things.  See a physician if symptoms persist or are severe.

Muscle Pain: There are some muscles that attach right on the shoulder blade called the rhomboid muscles and you may have strained one of those at the attachment. Usually we use these muscles when our arm is above our shoulder so perhaps some activity strained this. If pain doesn't resolve over next seven days or so you should get checked as sometimes the lungs can cause pain around the shoulder blade.
