See doctor: It doesn't state your age, but anyone with left sided chest pain with exertion or exercise should be evaluated immediately.  I would rather not you wait for answers via the internet, someone needs to see you in person.

keep reading about people suddenly dying of myocarditis without knowing anything was wrong it scares the life out me how common is it for sudden death to occur?

In the US there are: about 400K - 600K sudden deaths a year (about one a minute.) These are usually associated with coronary artery disease and previous heart attacks or from weakened heart muscles (cardiomyopathy.) Sudden death from myocarditis is rare. Unless you have a cardiomyopathy is is HIGHLY unlikely that you have anything to worry about at all.

i keep getting these sudden hot and cold patches on my head. they come on randomly and make a patch of my head feel suddenly hot and burning to freezing cold and fluctuate between them both until the sensation wears off. should i be worried?

Nerve dysfunction: hot or cold sensations are controlled by nerves in the skin. A variety of underlying issues can cause this sensation. Alcohol related neuropathy, diabetes, hormonal changes, nerve damage, and MS. It might be wise to see a DR for a full workup. Keep a diary of when it happens and anything that was going on at that time: Diet, exercise, period, sleep, anxiety, alcohol/drug consumption, etc.

Infection: This history is concerning for infection. Fever can often cause headaches. In those over 65 even a low grade fever can represent significant infection. See your doctor.

Pain: It is probably soft tissue or muscular but it is impossible to give you a definitive answer. I would try an anti inflammatory but if that does not help you need to see a physician to get a definitive answer

Muscle Spasms: There are many layers of muscles over the ribs and between the ribs. These are muscle spasms and are not in any way related to your heart. Next the doctor can work with you to figure out what is causing these spasms.
