marketing for patients with angina by several regulatory agencies throughout the world. The drug has never been submitted for review by the fda because the french manufacturer, servier, lacked an american subsidiary to market the drug.  However in july 2013, amgen announced that it had obtained commercial rights in the U.S. To this novel oral drug for further tests.

ivabradine: Ivabradine can be used selectively in some patients along with beta blockers if it is appropriate for them.

Ivabradine: You'll have to ask your doctor who knows you and your history and data that question. If you're on that drug it is used for angina pectoris mostly and for CHF in some patients. If you're taking it for some other reason...?  It isn't a drug most of us would prescribe if you don't have some kind of problem that will be helped by it.

i ran out of my ivabradine. my heart was beating so hard. can i replace it by taking bb? i used to take them before. cant reach my ep till thursday.

Sort of, but no: Ivabradine is a truly novel medicine; it works in a way no other medicine available does. (for that matter, it's not avail in the us... Where did you get it? I have a few patients who'd love to know). Anyway, a beta blocker will have some effect on rhythm, but if so, via a totally different mechanism and potentially with some side effects. I'd call the office.

on ivabradine and doc switched bisoprolol to diltizem . now pulse very slow even on low dose. should these be taken together?

Ivabradine: Ivabradine causes bradycardia by itself. Discuss with your dr whether your bradycardia is ok. If the pots is controlled may be ok.

Most likely cause: Is in the control mechanisms of the autonomic nervous system.  These controls are situated on the lower part of the brain and the commonest cause of this is poor diet, particularly all the sweet staff.

Could be afib: your medication can in a small percentage of cases cause an irregular beat, especially atrial fibrillation.
I recommend that you see the physician who prescribed the drug and tell him/her your symptoms- they may do a holter monitor to assess for atrial fibrillation and treat accordingly.
