Intravenous: With drug addiction people can start using drugs iv, the reason is that they get tolerance to them so the route of use can increase the effect. The quicker a drug gets to the brain, the more reenforcing it is or addictive. Iv route is much quicker than taking it orally or snorting it. Opiates such as heroin or pain killers, methamphetime and Cocaine are common drugs that can be abused iv.

this test is the most comprehensive of all the tests. It tests for Cocaine (coc), amphetamines (amp), methamphetamines (mamp), marijuana (thc), Methadone (mtd), speed/ecstasy (mdma), opiates (opi), oxycodone (oxy), ppx, pcp, barbiturates (bar), and benzodiazepines (bzo).

Simple answer: This may sound silly but, stop using drugs and you will not have the skin problems.  I am not sure what problems you are having but there are a whole host of problems that occur for drug use., skin popping, chronic itching and excoriations, secondary skin infection to name a few.  My best advice is to stop using!

No: Absolutely not, at least in the usa. I admire your courage. Everybody makes mistakes, and i hope this is the start of a new life. Especially, i hope you can escape whatever set of circumstances led you to resort to this. Whoever offered you intravenous drugs was not truly your friend. The health care team is.

Not yet available...: But recently recieved approval from the fda advisory committee. It is a combination pill containing  elvitegravir, cobicistat, emtricitabine, and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (quad). Since this site is not a sounding board, try searching it on the internet- there is alot of information on it, including the makers of the drug, gilead biosciences.

what kind of thoracic spine disease can u have from past iv drug use, & is it poss if quit 13 yrs ago?

Hard to say: The only way IV drug use can cause disease in the spine that i know of is through infection.  Iv drug users can get osteomyelitis in unusual places, including in the space between the vertebrae, as well as the collarbone joints and even in the pelvic joints.  When that occurs, it is usually an immediate and acute problem. If it was 13 years ago, there should be no current problem.
