One of many tools.: I think most diets and supplements don't work because you cannot stick with them long-term. They may help you reach a short-term weight loss goal, but if your activity and daily food habits don't change, you'll be right back where you started. Seek a registered dietitian to develop a healthy food weight loss plan that doesn't require a specific company's products. Cheaper and healthier!

Not favorable: These products are essentially snake oil.
Many such compounds are marketed as having amazing results, regarding weight-loss, or wellness, or even treating complex diseases such as cancer. The "cleasing & healing" claims of such substances are totally unfounded, and their safety has not been ascertained in any large multi-center double-blind clinical trials.

What for?: The so-called "Cleanses" do not cleanse anything, other than your wallet.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine, if you are under 27 years of age.

Hard to say: Though most fad diets are generally useless for long term weight loss.  Most of them do not work, and if they do, you usually will not be able to keep the weight off after you stop it.  The best for weight loss continues to be dieting and exercise.  Bariatric surgery is a last resort at this time, but is becoming more common.

Do not waste your $: Do not waste your time with "weight loss supplements". If you want to achieve weight loss, reduce your carbs to a bare minimum, drink only water, eat lots of low starch veggies and lean meats and increase your activity levels.

i have been on isagenix for about a year and a half now. is that to long to be on there shakes? currently i am using them as a meal replacement.

Meal Replacement Ske: Eating a variety of real food is best, but it should not be a problem to use their meal replacement shakes once a day.  You could use them more than that for a short time.  It is certainly better than eating fast food, processed food, and fried foods, etc.   Why are you using these?
