Individual: I assume you meant special accommodations in a school setting. Accommodations are very individual & are meant to allow students with disabilities to have equal access to education.  The problems with OCD & tourette's are certainly complex, often requiring unique educational approaches, including civility & social acceptance.  This is a must do conversation to have with your doctor.

OCD: This is an anxiety do, with intrusive thoughts that cause apprehension/fear/worry, and repetitive behaviors aimed at reducing the anxiety. Examples are excess washing, cleaning, checking, hoarding, & other rituals. These are time-consuming & cause severe emotional/financial distress.

OCD is: considered an anxiety disorder, but often runs in families in one form or another.   Associated to OCD are depression, social withdrawal, sleep problems, hoarding and eating rituals.   Indirectly associated are problems with time management and the social and employment consequences thereof.

Different symptoms: Anxiety is, by itself a feeling of apprehension from either known or unknown sources, and can vary in intensity, such as a mild level of anxiety when say, a doorbell rings unexpectedly to severe, like say when encountering a life threatening situation
ocd often does have a component of anxiety about it, but ocd also is characterized by extreme needs for cleanliness, order, and checking, .

Inositol: It may elevate serotonin levels.  Not knowing the stage of the kidney disease or the filtration rate, i would say to ask your regular doctor about taking and dosing it, since they know you and your kidney function.

OCD spectrum: Yes. I often try to urge people to remember that most (if not all) mental disorder diagnoses are concepts we use. They are constantly being revised in efforts to make advances in understanding and treatment easier. Is he in treatment?: Is he doing all he can to control the ocd? Does his behavior bother you? Only you can decide if it is something you should be concerned about. It is a difficult condition to overcome, but only you can decide if it interferes with your relationship with him.
