Yes: Yes, pituitary tumors during pregnancy are uncommon. (reference mayo clin proc. Apr 1990;65(4):461-74). The gland does enlarge a bit, but those changes reverse after delivery.

Prolactinoma N preg: Small prolactinoma producing little prolactin may not affect your chance of pregnancy, but one that is producing much hormone will likely reduce your chance some what. Many women who are actively breastfeeding produce higher prolactin than nonlactating females, but they still get pregnant during this time. So if u r trying for it, good luck, if trouble, consult doc. Good luck.

No, and yes: Pituitary tumors ordinarily won't interfere with a hysterectomy, unless dangerously large and need to be addressed first.  So no, it won't cause harm with reference to the hysterectomy.  However pituitary tumors can cause significant problems with vision, headaches, abnormal hormone levels, etc.  This is a serious but separate problem. Seek consults from neurosurgery and endocrinology.

LH production ?: A pituitary tumor of sufficient size to create symptoms should have a prolactin level greater than 100.  Increase pressure from a pituitary tumor will usually shut down normal pituitary hormone release, including LH.   Prolactin is increased because shuting down the pituitary stops the inhibitory releasing factor, allowing increased prolactin.  LH is elevated at ovulation, and is higher than FSH.

Most often due to rx: The most frequent cause of elevated prolactin not due to a pituitary problem is ingestion of medication -- most commonly medication given for depression, anxiety, psychiatric illness, etc. Check with your prescribing physician.

Yes: Prolactinomas are common pituitary tumors that may be treated with medication.  Other kinds of pituitary tumors may also cause infertility.  Correcting the hormone abnormalities with either medical or surgical treatment will restore fertility.

Pituitary tumor: Some pituitary gland tumors secrete excess levels of ACTH which causes Cushing's syndrome. Hirsuitism and acne can occur with this syndrome, but I'm unsure whether testosterone  levels are elevated. I would defer to an endocrinologist for an answer to this question.

Endocrine evaluation: This can be a difficult situation if the abnormal hormone levels or the medications (bromocriptine) are interfering with the hormones which regulate menstrual cycles. You should see an endocrinologist or fertility specialist for a full evaluation. If the tumor is small, some advocate surgical removal to restore normal hormone levels and improve chances of achieving a successful pregnancy.
