i am taking diflucin (3 days) for. yeast infection.  now have bronchial infection can i also take azithromycin or should i stop diflucin.  ?

You can take both: together. however azithromycin will increase the risk of yeast infection and may have to take extra diflucan (fluconazole) for another 1-2 days

: Something doesn't compute. Azithromycin doesn't treat yeast -- in fact it might make a yeast infection worse -- and your doctor knows this. Perhaps you misunderstood the diagnosis? In any case, any new, unexplained or abnormal vaginal bleeding requires professional attention -- some causes are serious. Return to your doctor to check it out, and also clarify yeast versus some other infection.

it has been almost 2 weeks after taking azithromycin for chylamidia, still having very slight itching, but no discharge. could it be  yeast infection?

Vaginal itching: Yes - if the itch is not too bad, the gynecologist who gave you the azithromycin could evaluate your for vaginal yeast infection when you go back 3 weeks after azithromycin treatment for test of cure; else, call  the office, and see how they suggest to proceed.

would anything happen if i prescribe zithromax for myself and i dont actually have chalmydia or if i tke flagyl and i dont have a yeast infection ?

Not recommended.: It is never recommended to self prescribe antibiotics.  Inappropriate antibiotic use has led to the serious problem of resistant bacterial infections.  This practice could also lead to allergic reactions, undesirable side effects, and interference with testing when you aren't getting better.  Flagyl, by the way, is not used to treat yeast infections.

Ask the DR: Zithromax is probably safe during pregnancy. But it is a common cause for yeast problems. Unless you have both high fever and significant sinus pain, it will do nothing for sinus congestion. Drainage, with sniffer or oral med ,is the way to relieve sinus symptoms. Antibiotics are seldom of use. Meclizine is another med which is commonly used but  seldom effective. Phenergan (promethazine) will make you sleepy so

tryed taking z-pak for urethra and the symptoms went away after four pills. then. it started coming back again i also have vaginal discharge but i have negative cultures. could it be a yeast infection developing that quick and making worse again?

: Transient improvement with azithromycin (Z-pak) suggests infection other than yeast. Most cultures do not show the bacteria that often cause discharge, e.g. bacterial vaginosis (especially if you have odor). Azithromycin doesn't treat yeast, in fact can make it worse. Contrary to popular belief, yeast infections usually cause little or only scant discharge. See a gynecologist soon. Good luck.

Family practice : Yeast infections are more common then venerial warts.  You have to be exposed to someone with warts to get them. Yeast infections come when you take antibiotics or when your immune system is down. A female's anatomy is such that it easier for contamination.

can i take terazol (terconazole) for yeast infection 6 days after taking azithromycin for chlamydia? 
will it affect the azithromycin?

Yes: You can use the terazol, (terconazole) it will not affect the chlamydia treatment at all.
