me and my boyfriend had sex last night, today it hurts to pee. i've been drinking lots of cranberry over the last few days, could it be a uti or not?

Could be: Some pharmacies have pee sticks. You can dip the stick in the urine and it can tell you if have a possible infection. The best advise is go to the doctor for assessment.

Infection? STD?: No soft drink or anything else you eat or drink is likely to cause painful urination. Chemical irritants can do it (like soap if using it as lubricant for masturbation). Or urinary tract infection (rare in men your age) or an STD (the most common cause at your age, if you are sexually active -- especially if discharge also is present. Get care ASAP if it continues more than a day or so.

Not sure, tell us.: Urine is a way of disposing of the body's toxins. You might want to avoid drinking unpurified urine.

Much vs frequency?: If you are peeing more than what you eat/drink, you would dry up like a twig quite quickly. Caffeine, alcohol, and diuretics can make u pee more too. I assume you are peeing more frequently? Frequency, urgency, and burning on urination can be signs of an infection, uti. Since this is new for you, i recommend getting it checked by your doc.  Good luck.

See MD: A number of conditions, would get a urine test and see family practice. Urinary tract infections and diabetes are common causes of frequent urination.

i drink and pee an egregious amount.  probably average around a liter an hour, sometimes more, sometimes less.  why?  is there a way to change this?

Have it checked out: There are some endocrinologic disorders that can lead one to drink a lot and then urinate a lot. Diabetes mellitus which is related to improper glucose metabolism is very prevalent in our population and causes some of this symptoms. Diabetes insipidus which is caused by an inadequate pituitary hormone can also lead to these symptoms. Your doctor can investigate and treat if appropriate.

what can i do to stop urineing so much during day n night i don't drink to much fluids so i wont go pee . at night times i get up at least 6 to 8 times?

See a doctor: I suggest seeing a doctor to find out the reason for the excessive urination. It could be infection, diabetes or something else that if diagnoses properly then van be treated.

Fine: If she has no abnormal symptoms when urinating,  and the fact that it is NOT cloudy when she urinates, she is fine.  Be sure to keep regular dr appts for her routine exams and discuss any concerns with her Dr.  Best wishes.

: You have to observe what comes first. If you drink more you will pee more and that is physiologic. However, if you pee a lot and you feel thirsty so you drink more, that is pathologic. There are 2 conditions, which can cause polyuria (pee a lot) and polydipsia (drink a lot) and they are diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus. If you think you fit to the second scenario, see your doctor ASAP.
