i missed 2-3 birth control pills 1 week before period, i had my period like normal but now 2 weeks after my period am spotting still is this normal? i have not missed a pill since then?

: Spotting is not uncommon at this time in the cycle when ovulation occurs. However, if spotting persists in the next cycle and it seems not related to ovulation then you should see a gynecologist. Good luck.

BTB: Did you miss any pills or take them late? Have you been on other medicines, especially antibiotics? Have you been sick, nausea or diarrhea? Do you have a vaginal infection?
Lots of things, or nothing, can lead to irregular bleeding on the birth control pill. Usually the next cycle will be better and pregnancy is unlikely, but condoms are always a good idea.

last depo shot12/14/20, stopped due to spotting. spotting on/off since1/7/21. 2/26/21doctor had me on2 birth control pills a day/10 days to stop the spotting from the depo. 3/18/21heavy period last 12 days. now spotting brown with small clots.normal?

: Irregular periods following discontinuation of hormonal birth control is very common. It reflects your body's efforts to recalibrate hormones back to normal levels. It can take up to 6 months to resume normal cycles. Unless you are trying to get pregnant, use an alternative method of birth control every time you have intercourse. If the irregularity persists past 6 months, see your Gynecologist.

Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time)  is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time.  If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen  then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working.

No: This is a direct result of not following the instructions of how to take the pill. Not only to are taking a chance of getting pregnant, abut also, "messing up" your hormones.
You should consider using a barrier method.

Not likely: Iud's are one of the most effective forms of birth control. Irregular or absent periods are an expected side effect. Failure rates are 1%. Anytime you suspect pregnancy  take a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available at any pharmacy.  If your test is positive you should see your doctor urgently because of the risk of tubal pregnancy (ectopic pregnancy).

i got off a week of my birth control pills and ended up skipping the placebo pills. i had a period and now i'm having light spotting. is this normal?

Normal withdrawal: Skipping the placebo and taking the placebo has the same effect of depriving your body of daily hormones, which will destabilize the uterine lining and cause a period. Start your pills again if you want to avoid pregnancy and avoid unprotected sex for one week. Your symptoms are normal and it is unlikely for you to be pregnant. Hope that helps.

i was spotting red on tuesday then nothing else happened i'm not expected to have my period until the end of the month but the spotting was on tuesday june 5th is that normal or cause for concern? i do not take birth control pills?

: If the spotting occurred only a few days after your normal period ended it could simply be debris left over after your period. Pregnancy or hormone issues are other less likely possibilities. I suggest asking your gynecologist for advice though.
