: Do you take birth control pills? The brown discharge is typically old blood that is being expelled, typically at the end of a period. You may be peri-menopausal which will give irregular periods. Either way, you should call your gyn doctor and get it checked to see what the etiology is. Best of luck to you!

How much bleeding?: "gushing" of blood can be common with menstrual cycles..  If you are bleeding heavier than usual, and soaking through more than 1 pad an hour, you need to be seen in the emergency room for evaluation.  Otherwise, if the menstrual cycle does not lighten up on its own in several days, see your gynecologist.

Fibrocystic breasts: You may have fibrocysts in your breasts. These increase prior to your period and shrink when your period starts. However, please see your gyn to make sure that that is all there is to it.

Blood pools in the: vaginal canal. When the bowels move this can push the pooled blood out of the vagina.
