No: No actual weight gain results following myomectomy. Temporaray weight gain due to swelling and water retention is common, and usually resolves in the first few weeks post-op.

in dec 2016 i had a myomectomy. jan 2017 i had a normal cycle, this month i've been bleeding for 18 days. is this normal?

Yes: The disturbance of the endometrial and uterine lining caused the fibroids/surgery can take some time to repair itself.  Be patient.  However, you should also be vigilant and monitor symptoms closely.  The bleeding and related symptoms should gradually improve.  If this is not the case, consult with doctor.  Good luck!

Not usually: Unless you are taking significant narcotics for post op pain and not drinking enough fluids. Discuss with your gyn doctor.

Postop period: You are still in the post op period so sometimes irregular bleeding occurs. IF you feel something is abnormal schedule follow up with your surgeon. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available  at any pharmacy.

it is 5wks after an abdominal myomectomy for the removal of 7 fibroids and i am still bleeding. is this normal?

Yes: A myomectomy causes scarring and contraction of the uterus that can lead to abnormal bleeding for up to 12 weeks after surgery, especially if some of the fibroids were into the cavity of the uterus. If heavy, see your doctor.

had 1st shot luprolex (leuprorelin) 1.88mg aug 28, 2015 and had light menstruation sept 6.is this normal?i will have myomectomy by nov

Possible: any surgery like a myomectomy can disrupt the regularity of the cycles, however this can also arise on it's own.  This far out from the surgery may justify looking into other causes
