had a complete hysterectomy including ovaries in 2008. i had an incision from navel down.  am i still at increased risk of bowel obstructions this many years later? i go back and forth between constipation and normal but still able to pass gas.

Possibly,: scar tissue could be a cause. An exam and testing with your doctor is a good plan.

Neuropathic pain: "normal" or physiologic pain is associated with an inflammatory response that is part of the healing process.
Pathophysiologic pain is pain that continues even after healing has occurred and painful stimulation has ceased. When pain is due to a functional abnormality of the nervous system, the term neuropathic pain is used.

Here are some...: The reported lingering discomfort near and below the incision for inguinal herniorrhaphy is nothing uncommon and may eventual fade away, but could last forever. Despite such uncertainty, doing nothing if tolerable is still the most practical care after learning how to adopt and adapt to such postoperative consequence, although very occasionally additional invasive procedure may be needed.

i have had an inguinal hernia repair back in march this year. and one incision site is hard as a rock. its painful. it's healed but its very painful. is this normal?

Postop: The incision can remain reddened  for a prolonged period, but pain after this length of time warrants an examination by your surgeon.

Should get checked: Given the time period, assuming it hasn't been a problem before it is unlikely the surgery has anything to do with the discoloration/bruising now. You should get it checked out with a physician (doesn't have to be OBGyn) to look for causes of random/easy bruising

Reasons: May be another cyst forming at the same place or piece of old suture coming out, or something else.  See the surgeon for evaluation.

Be seen: You definitely need to see your surgeon or regular doctor.  I would be mostly concerned about the wiring that sews the sternum back together causing a foreign body reaction.

i had appendectomy 2 n half years back. 7 cm incision was made. i also had stitch granuloma after the operation.i have lost wt since then n become underwt now also i feel heaviness in my rt leg help?

See gastroenterology: Appendectomy, even with complications, such as scar tissue leading to obstruction or development of an abscess does not usually result in symptoms that you describe.  You need to make sure that there was truly appendicitis.  Alternatives include inflammatory bowel disease or infectious causes, such as atypical mycobacterial infection.  See a GI doctor for further testing.
