Dr. : Dr. Kirk provided excellent information. Regarding the option of acupuncture- here is a little bit more information.  Acupuncture has been practiced in china for thousands of years. Optimum time: to become pregnant would be at ovulation, several days prior and possibly a couple after. Ovulation is  14 days prior to an anticipated period.

Varies: Were you put on the pill to regulate you to start with--of so then you will go back to having irregular or no periods (this is not due to the pill---the pill was just controlling the symptoms).  Track you periods.  If you constantly are over 40 day cycles ro don't have a period after 40 days, seek medical advice, check thyroid etc.  Pcos is possibility.
