Maybe: I assume you mean that you are nauseated (feel like throwing up).  Any medication added to an inflamed intestine may worsen the nausea, but if tolerated and the infection was creating the nausea, may also make it better with time.

i have gastritis can amoxicillin give me bad stomach pains i had a sinus infection so they gave me this? and if so is there anything else i can take?

Probiotics may help : Alcohol and tobacco use , will not help your gastritis and should be discontinued. The gastritis is the more likely cause of your symptoms but Amoxicillin (especially hen combined with clavulonaged) can alter your gastrointestinal flora causing upset and diarrhea. Probiotics may help in this case.

i am taking amoxicillin and it is causing my stomach to be upset. what can i do or take to eliminate the discomfort?

For your stomach: Be sure to drink at least one cup of fluid - slowly over 3-5 minutes - with your medicine.  Also, eat 2 or 3 saltine crackers 2-3 minutes before and again about 3-4 minutes after taking your medicine.  Don't combine other meds with it.  Is it possible you have a mild gastritis or reflux esophagitis.

Common: The clavulanate is added to Amoxil (amoxicillin) to decrease resistance.  The stomach problems are very common.  This does not mean there is a problem or allergy to the amoxil (amoxicillin).

Either way is OK: It won't make any difference either way. Amoxicillin is well absorbed and works equally well either with food or on an empty stomach.

Usually no problem: Amoxicillin rarely upsets the stomach, but if you think it's happening to you, take it with some food. It is equally well absorbed and equally effective taken with or without food.

Consult prescriber: If not already tried then try taking Amoxicillin with food to reduce stomach irritation. If no relief your doctor can review your condition, medication & adverse effects & determine if an alternative is appropriate. You should not have to suffer with stomach pain. Another med may be just as good without adverse effect.

Mgt: Avoiding dairy products and yogurt may help to relieve the symptoms.

H.Pylori treatment: Both amoxicillin and metronidazole are one of the  recommended treatment for H.Pylori. Most of the time people tolerate them okay, but people have diffentway of reacting medicnes, it can be taken togethter, how your body going to respond you will know when you take it
