Depends: There are 3 basic types:  low grade, intermediate, and high grade lymphoma.  Intermediate and high grade are potentially curable because they are replicating rapidly.  Low grade lymphomas are not curable because typically replicating slowly.  Low grade are only treated when needed.  Hope this helps.

Yes, potentially: Not all non-hodgkin lymphomas (nhl) are curable.  The most common nhl is diffuse large b-cell lymphoma (dlbcl), which is curable in early (or late) stage.  The ability to treat and cure depends on the individual characteristics of the person and the tumor.  Talk to your oncologist.

Decreased risk.: The earlier the stage the more likely the disease will be put into remission. Despite best efforts however nothing is 100%. However, the earlier the stage the better the chances. Not everyone with nhl will relapse and early stages (1, 2a) carry the best chances of long term remission.

TcellNHL: The cure is dependent on sub t cell types, stage of disease, age of patient, lymphoma in node or organ, person's ability to do activity of daily living and ldh level. The doctor needs to know these things. Your father's hematologist/oncologist must have them and would be in a better position to answer. Thanks.

Chemotherapy: Hodgkins disease is one of the malignant diseases that are highly curable. Most patients respond well to standard chemotherapy, small percentage need a second type if chemotherapy and some may need bone marrow rransplantaion.

It is possible: This must be a scary question to ask, so let me answer your question.  Unfortunately, the answer is yes, a 14 year old can get Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  There is a younger version that can occur up to 14 years of age and a young adult version which can be seen as early as 15 years of age. Symptoms include lymph nodes in neck, armpit or groin that don't go away in a few weeks, wt loss or night sweats.

Not per se: Petechiae are not a presenting symptom of Hodgkin. If a person is treated with chemo, then petechiae may occur due to the toxicity of chemotherapy.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
