Fever advice: These symptoms with fever can be due to many causes, mostly harmless viral infections which resolve, but there are more serious bacterial infections (e.g. ear, chest, urine, meningitis are some) which may need assessment by your doctor. Too vague to answer: You try to make sure that he does not get dehydrated.  If he is pushing you away then don't force him to eat. He may have a sore throat. You can try some paracetamol (10-15 mg/kg/dose every 4 hr. If he doesn't improve bring him to his doc.

See your Dr.: Unlikely that teething would cause a fever that high.  Would follow up with your doctor at that young of an age.

Varies: This varies tremendously with the child.  Some do not fuss at all.  If the do get fussy from teeth it is usually 4-5 days each time they get a tooth. Giving them a cold teething ring or frozen, damp washcloth to chew on can help.

When tooth erupts: As teeth erupt babies can be fussy, sleepless and irritable, lose their appetite or drool more than usual.  Try rubbing their gums with a clean finger, a small cool spoon or a moist guaze pad.  A clean teething ring or pacifier will help.

Cold compress: There are many tricks you can try. I personally like taking a wet cloth, freezing it in the freezer and then allow the child to chew on it. This allows them to apply cold directly where it hurts. Watch them of course.

Teething: A child can be fussy and irritable when teething . If no fever and no other signs of any illness , yes teething can cause even decrease in appetite.

Teething: You can use teething gel, but using something cold may be more effective. Try using half of a frozen bagel to have him gnaw on.

Teething hurts: You may try some tylenol/acetaminophen for pain. Frozen baby washcloths may help- get one wet, wring it out somewhat and freeze it that way. Pull it out of freezer and let her chew on it- the ice helps the pain and some babies like chewing cloth more than hard plastic teething toys. Fortunately, when the teeth come through, the pain will get better soon.
